ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) Eric Terry had a career-high 30 points, including the go-ahead three-point play with 12 seconds left in the third overtime, as Texas State edged past Texas-Arlington 87-85 on Friday night.
Nijal Pearson had 24 points and 15 rebounds for Texas State (20-10, 13-6 Sun Belt Conference), which won its fifth consecutive game. Marlin Davis added 14 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. Alonzo Sule had eight rebounds.
David Azore had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Mavericks (13-17, 9-10). Jabari Narcis added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Sam Griffin had 13 points.
