LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) Zach Thomas scored 23 points, tying a school record with his 16th 20-point game, Stephen Brown added 25 points and Bucknell cruised past Navy 85-61 Wednesday night with each team already assured of a top spot in the upcoming Patriot League playoffs.
Bucknell (21-9, 15-2) had already locked up the league title and home court for the quarterfinals for the fourth-straight season and seventh time in the last eight. Navy (19-11, 10-7) is tied for third.
As the game wound down, the Bucknell seniors checked out one-by-one to standing ovations. They are the first class in Patriot League history to win the league title outright four straight times.
