CONWAY S.C. (AP) Andre Fox scored 14 points and his free throw with 0.8 seconds on the clock were the go-ahead points as South Alabama pulled out a 74-71 win at Coastal Carolina on Saturday, running its win streak to six games.
Coastal Carolina reeled off six straight points to knot the score early in the second half, which was tight the rest of the way with six ties and eight lead changes. With the score knotted at 71 and time running out, Fox launched a shot from about 25 feet and was fouled. He made one of the three free throws for the go-ahead point for South Alabama (18-11, 11-7 Sun Belt Conference).
Coastal Carolina turned the ball over when it called for a timeout it didn't have, and Thrae Mitchell made both technical free throws for the final score.
