USC incoming freshman WR injures knee, out season

LOS ANGELES (AP) Southern California incoming freshman receiver Steven Mitchell will miss the 2013 season after tearing ligaments in his right knee.

Mitchell, from Mission Hills, was hurt during voluntary workouts at USC on Friday.

He is the second receiver the Trojans have lost this offseason to a knee injury. Junior George Farmer was hurt during spring practice and is also expected to the miss the season.
