Analysis: The 2016 AL Rookie of the Year, who missed a turn earlier this month after spraining his ankle during an agility drill, threw 59 pitches while allowing three runs and four hits over 3 1/3 innings against the Yankees. "Obviously he didn't have his command for whatever reason, but he got his pitches in," Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. "He's progressing, his velocity was good."

Analysis: Fulmer rolled his ankle during agility drills on Saturday, prompting manager Brad Ausmus to announce that he was holding last season's American League Rookie of the Year out of Monday's game against the Orioles. "He's going to miss a start," Ausmus said on Sunday. "We don't expect it to be more than one start."
